Romer probe

Fellas, correct me if I am wrong, wasn't there a Romer option where you can use the larger probe that typically would not fit into a hole and still measure the location and the Dia of the hole with one click?

If so, can someone explain how to select that option.

  • You need to be careful if it is a tight tolerance hole - any edge break or deburr will add depth to the probe and give you a larger reading, and if the hole is not deburred, a burr can cause the same issue the opposite direction. Under "measure circle" you have the option of 3 point or single point. Make sure your workplane is the surface the hole enters or it will error out.
