When did Hexagon do away with the offline ability of the PC DMIS portable? I know I used to be able program offline.
I recently updated my portlock with our current sma settings. today I wanted to start programming a new part offline and the software wouldn't let me load any probes. Sent a ticket into tech support asking if something got left out of our port lock settings. below is the response I got back from tech support:
Scott,
According to my records this portlock (XXXXXXXX) is meant to interface with your Absolute romer arm. This would prevent offline programming. The update file sent to you on ticket-58891 was programmed correctly according to the provided module list.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
After responding to tech support's response above asking them WTF are they talking about, tech support called me and we did a team viewer session. They were able to insert a probe into the program via the menu options: insert>hardware>probe. I never had to do it that way before.
I just realized something, when I started the new program, I opened it in the machine1 option instead of offline, so the initial probe tool box never opened. Even after I closed the program out and tried re-opening in offline mode.
I just tried starting another new program this morning, and started it in the offline option and everything works.
