distance to target showing way off

I'm trying to pott some bushings using my Romer arm. I am locked onto my part using a best fit method, and I'm showing less than .003" all over the tool. However, when I try to find this bushing location, the readout is showing the bushing center to be 29"+ off in space.. Normally don't have any issues with the readout. Any ideas?

I would guess that it is a CAD problem. Check to see whether you can create an auto-circle/cylinder on the CAD or if it is screwy and makes you select points to "find" the feature.
