RDS Quick Check

When performing the RDS Quick Check, with the calibrated length bar provided with the Romer arm, is it necessary to get every part of the arm to be GREEN to match the same as shown on screen?
Having difficulty to get everything to turn GREEN to take points as designated.

  • Braz60...as stated to me by Tech support. The green indicators are just a quide. I personally have never been able to get the arm to completely turn green on every position. If I get the arm to completely turn green on 1 or 2 out of the 9 or 12 positions ( i forget ) I consider myself lucky.

I also contacted Hexagon and they stated the same thing it's not necessary to have all parts of Arm green it's more of a guide line. Also when verifying accuracy to length bar the 3 results to be concerned about
are the Minimum / Maximum and Range/2 results compared to the Certificate of Traceable Calibration that came with the Romer Arm.
