True Position of a slot

I apologize that I was unable to find an answer to my question. Perhaps I'm missing it since it's more of a GD&T question.

How does one calculate the true position of a slot? In my particular instance, a true position is given for both the X and Y axis. There is no "Boundary" callout that I'm used to seeing for slots. Is it merely inspecting the true position in just one axis for one callout and then the other axis for the other true position callout?

Thanks.

  • The answer to your question could vary drastically based on how your print calls it out. We'd really need to see the print or a sketch of it or something to help you & know we were giving the correct advise for your situation.

It really depends. Are you able to show a snippet of your print? Sometimes there are many ways about doing something.
