Position of pocket cutout?

How would I get the position of a pocket cutout on a part? I have the X start and end points, Y, and Z, but don't really know how I can get the position of that. My first thought was to construct a square slot, but seeing at there's no real "top" to it, I couldn't get it to work.

  • You need to set the width type to IN and the vectors of the hits making up the lines need to be opposing. So, assuming your X axis runs from left to right, the hits for your line on the left hand, inside pocket edge needs to be probed with a +X vector and the hits for the line on the right hand, inside pocket edge need to be probed with a -X vector.
