Dat_A is a PLN Dat_B is a slot width and Dat_C Is a slot length?

I am trying to program a part where the datums are datum A is a surface and then datum B and C are the width and length of 2 slots. I have only been programming for just shy of 2 months and can use all the help I can get. Lol. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  • I assume by "surface" you are referring to a planar feature. Measure the plane. Level to it and set an origin on it.

I then assume you want to measure a line on each side of width B. Construct a width feature out of it.

Measure a line on each side of width c, then construct another width feature.

Assign the plane as datum A. Assign the width features to B and C.

A copy of the print, or sketch of the datums could help clarify what you are after.
