programming based on point cloud scanned data

Hi all, I am new to PC-DMIS software I am not given any training from Hexagon, my team leader is guiding me in the writing and execution of programs. we are using a portable Romer arm. I am working on a part where my superior asked me to write a program based on a point cloud colormap.
The 2D print has true position tolerances for circular slots, circles, and profile features. What I did is I created the auto slot feature > use the test feature to extract the data from point cloud> and use the true position tolerance checking feature from the toolbar but the values are showing out of tolerance(in red color) which is annoying to my team because they say it should not be a case since it is a laser cut slot.

So I have two questions,
1. Is this the correct way to write a program from Pointcloud?
2. seeing errors occur like these, and getting frustrated, what should I do to eliminate these errors? Should I make some changes in the tools of PC-DMIS or Any changes should be made in the way of extracting the feature from the point cloud?

Kindly guide me.
Thanks in advance.
