2 tubes welded together = 1?

I am using Docs 2.2 with a non-contact probe to measure a tube. this tube has a small tube welded to it so it almost looks like a "T". I just don't know how to program it.

The longer tube has 7 straights and the short tube has 3 straights. There are a total of 3 Ends as the small tube is welded to the End of the longer tube.

How do I program this? How do I tell Docs that there is another tube welded to the first one then measure it at one?

Thanks in advance.
  • If the second tube is at one end or the other, you can use the A or B End Tool option to return the end of the main tube as the intersection of the first, or last straight and the centerline of the 'tool', which in your case is the top of the "T".

If the other tube is in the middle somewhere, depending on what it looks like, you can do a couple of things.
If the 'other' tube is a straight piece, like a fitting or boss, simply measure it as a cylinder. If the other tube has multiple straights, enter it as a completely seperate tube.
