Was just wondering if any one else has had problems with star probes on multi sensor machines. The machine doesn't seem to be remembering the offsets from tip 1 to the rest of the tips around the star. We are using 2010 MR2 from recomendations from hexagon. I put together a document stateing my calibration order and procedure. The guys at hexagon say it looks fine. granted we have had nothing but trouble since they installed the machine over a year ago. I have been to mutliple training classes on the touch probes, vision and white light laser. So i am fairly confident in what i am doing. It is just frustrating because the particular part I am inspecting on the rotary table I need the star to get in between some tight features. The probe just wants ot go off into space. Not sure if it is me or the software, or the machine. trying to get someone to come in is like pulling teeth. I can get help sometimes on the phone, but without actually being here to see it makes it difficult. Sorry for venting like this.
