Machine not responding version to version

we have PC- DMIS ver 3.7 in XP and ver 13 in widows 7 with another computer. When I switch over all connection to new ver13 , the machine not responding. Could any one can help me please. previously the machine was working in both versions. Thanks in advance.

Did you move the port lock? (I'm assuming it has one due to 3.7)

Thanks Jefman and Rick. It has been solved. The problem was in assigned USB port.
