20X Nikon Lens-Not Compatible with Ringlight

Hey guys,

So the machine I run uses Nikon Vision lens. we have a ring light setup for our machine but we were told and discovered our ring light is not compatible with the 20X lens as it is too long and the depth for the ring light is not adjustable. This means the ring light can not be calibrated when the lens is on.

How can I make it so PC-DMIS doesn't want to calibrate the ring light with my 20X probe, this being the issue gives me a warning every time I go to use this probe anywhere always saying that the probe isn't fully calibrated. Is this just something to live with or can I remove the ring light option for this probe so it doesn't expect calibration for it.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

  • SOLUTION: Just calibrate your ringlight using the 10x or the 5x lens or a probe that works under the 20x probe file but do not calibrate any other part of the probe until the Ringlight calibration is done. Then switch to the actual lens you want to use and perform your full calibration. Make sure to un check the Ringlight under the illumnation calibration.
