Inspection of a Rubber and Brass Seal

Good Morning:

I have been tasked with inspecting a rubber seal on our Optiv 321. Problem is, I think I can only measure the smaller ID and larger OD on the bottom of the print since it slightly tapers out and nothing else. I've only been using vision for a couple of months.

I removed the dims from the print, but is around 2" in diameter and .25" thick. The print is a cross section of the seal. what do you all think?

You "may" be able to get the top OD diameter using ring light, but this may need to be a manual measurement when it gets to that section of the measurement routine. What color is the rubber seal? Color of the seal may be the deal breaker for automatically having the machine find the correct edge.

Try playing around with lighting and different depths. Automatic may not work, otherwise try manual hits. Is there anyway you can prop it up on the side?
