I have a product which has different z-values on its outline. My aim is to measure the whole outline with the camera and its under lighting, however, when I use the Autprofile 2D, I cannot select the whole outline in the CAD model. When I am in the Live view, it does measure the whole outline when I double click the outline, but gives me strange profile values where the z-value changes.
Does anyone know how to measure the whole product's outline in CAD model or Live view which has different z-values?
Maybe measuring with underlight is not the good way...
I think that a measurement with auto focus should do the job, but it depends on the part profile (curves, lines....)
You should be able to pick up the lines in the CAD model, but......... I would program using live view and update nominals as I go, at the machine of course.
Using the AUTO option in the Focus control, Pcdmis will perform a focus when it detects that the image has gone out of focus after a FOV movement. The the new 2D profile command which has been in Pcdmis since 2013 MR1, it should be possible to open the 2D Profile Dialog and select the points directly of the Cad.
