Dimensioning a slotted hole

Hello!

I need to dimension a slotted hole in two different ways, as a linear profile dimension and true position. I measure the slotted hole in the same way, as a bidimiensional profile and using filters (ouliers....) The results are very diferent, in the true position the result is around 1 or 2 mm and in the profile it is 0.2-0.3. If I measure the dimensions of the slotted hole (lenght, diameters of the circles, angle...) are OK. And also when the program is running I see how the points are scanned, so I see the nominal and the deviation, and in a visual way the slotted hole is OK.

Is it possible that dimensioning the slotted hole with true position is not the best way to do it¿? I dont understand what happened.

Thanks in advance!!

  • Lots of questions unanswered here, unfortunately.
Post the code on how you have the parameters set up for the slotted hole, the dimension, and if possible the spot on the print (use Paint or something to get rid of unnecessary dimensions/proprietary markings)
Running on an Optiv Performance z443, i deal with these features often enough. (No expert by any stretch of the imagination, but I get good readings)
