Hexagon OPTIV 663 - Timeout Error during focus?

Looking for assistance with the following error shown in the image below. The error started popping up during a programs execution, even after running the routine many times without issues.. Does anyone know the cause of this error? Nothing changed PC wise, like software updates etc...machine is offline from the internet.
  • It error occurs strictly when using the camera, since its trying to focus
  • The machine errors out when measuring the circles, but I have witnessed its not focusing on points as well...also received the same error
  • This seems to be a communication issue on this machine only, a as I have never witnessed this happening on our other OPTIV 663
    • I can watch PC-DMIS read the code for the circle, the machine does physically move and then finds the focal spot (the circle is crisp on live view screen) but there is a delay in the software and that's when I know it will fault out...
    • I can click the play button multiple times in the execution window to repeat the focus step, and the machine will eventually generate the actuals and continue

  • I have tried to change every focus settings possible, increase/decreased range, duration, etc...switched from AUTO to FULL...using assist etc...
    • No matter the focus settings, the machine will still fault out during execution eventually...its an intermittent problem
    • Perhaps its my edge detection settings or something else?

  • The software we are running is PC-DMIS 2020, on both machine as well.
  • I use subroutines in the program, but it will also error out if I don't use subroutines.
