A few questions:
1. Is there a trick to doing the manual alignments? Can't seem to get it to work like normal CMM. Keeps asking me to pick something out in space...??
2. Does Pcdmis lock up on you a lot using tesa 300? V4.2 ....
3. Can you somehow marry the "cad screen" and the "live screen" so I can see my features that have been measured on the live portion of the software???
Locked up, and I lost everything...(I know save3, save often--> Not my 1st carnival... )

1 are you using manual hit targets or automatic hit targets? In either case you should be able to manually position the targets over the feature.
2 dont know as I run a mycrona
3If you want to see both screens at once look at the magnification tab in your probe toolbox while viewing your graphic display. That will give you both views.
I have it in manual mode when selecting my manual alignment features. The plane points seem to work fine.
The line pts and the circle are screwed though.
How is it that I should be able to position the target over the feature? My target is moved WAY off. Can I click and drag the target over my feature??
Thanks!
Kev
Here's what happened. I got it to work. I had to origin 1st, than rotate, than level in order to get the manual alignmetn to work. Completely backwards from the normal CMM. But - it works.

I'm glad you got it resolved. Welcome to the joy that is PCDMIS vision. Watch out for anything requiring top lighting. It requires much tweeking to the hit targets, illumination and a lesser degree focus. Even then top lit features have given me sketchy results. Hopefully, V4.3 will resolve these issues.
V4.3 has some improvements to Matching Edge algorithm (the best algorithm to use with top lit parts), particularly for multiple field of view circular features.
