How to Build a Probe that isn't listed

First off, locate 'probe.dat' in your pc-dmis folder. Open it up. Now, highlight the first probe build. Should look something like this:

ITEM:TIP1BY10MM M2
begintip
ribcount 10
comment this is the top cylinder with the threads
color 142 142 142
cylinder 0 0 0 0 0 -3 3
comment this is the cone that goes from top cylinder to shank cylinder
cone 0 0 -3 3 0 0 -7 0.65
comment this is the shank cylinder
cylinder 0 0 -7 0 0 -10 0.65
comment changes color for sphere
color 255 0 0
comment this is the probes ruby tip
sphere 0 0 -10 1
comment the hot spot is at the center of the tip with a diameter
hotspot 0 0 -10 0 0 1 1 1 ball
endtip

-Then close the probe.dat file. Next, open up your notepad and paste that data there. Do a file save as and call it 'usrprobe.dat'. (The reason you save these here is because if you move to a new version, your created probes will not stay in the probe.dat directory)

-Next, follow the directions in the attached file to build your new probe. Simply modify the one you just pasted in notepad.
