Okay I am still new at doing offline programming but getting better at it. Here's my deal though. I like the idea of starting with a read point and aligning to that to tell the CMM where to start. Then I want to use a hole (preferably a datum point for the part) but I want to use auto features, auto circle so I can align to that next. When I put my machine into DCC mode while in offline how do I get auto circle to work. In online or manual I always need to take an initial hit to locate the position of the circle while in DCC my probe tip wont go there or do anything while in offline. Any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong?
You should be able to click on the feature (click on the CAD image) to create an auto-circle.
If you are in solid mode this can be done by clicking 3 points on the surface the hole is located in (3 points near the edge of the circle).
