Okay I am still new at doing offline programming but getting better at it. Here's my deal though. I like the idea of starting with a read point and aligning to that to tell the CMM where to start. Then I want to use a hole (preferably a datum point for the part) but I want to use auto features, auto circle so I can align to that next. When I put my machine into DCC mode while in offline how do I get auto circle to work. In online or manual I always need to take an initial hit to locate the position of the circle while in DCC my probe tip wont go there or do anything while in offline. Any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong?

What I was trying to do was accomplish this while I was in program mode and auto feature at the same time. If I turn of program mode and then apply auto features my stupid probe disappears and I can use my cursor to do that.
