I've seen the thread on how to convert Datapage to Excel. Is this something that has to be manually done each time you want to convert a Spreadsheet over to Excel, or is there someway in Datapage that will automatically send the "data" to a file that you can open up in Excel? The reason I ask is b/c we just hooked our CMM up to the intranet at work, so other Quality Assurance people can look at CMM reports, but they also want to look at data stored on Datapage. Do I need to transfer the data from Datapage to Excel each time for them to be able to view it?
Yes. Without Datapage running on their PC they cannot view the data. If there is some way to use scripts to automatically export Datapage gathered data to an Excel spreadsheet the programming experts will have to answer that.
SABarber, what format is the Datapage reports in? Any common database structure or is it a custom one?
Not quite sure what you are asking. I imagine each report would be what you consider 'custom'. What you see on the screen is usually what you get isn't it?
Oh, well I have never used Datapage so I figured the dimensions were put in somekind of database, but you are saying that it is the REPORT that gets transferred to Datapage?
