As an IT technical support tech. I have a problems with both DataPage and PC-DMIS. It seems they both want to hog the processor at 100% for long periods of time. Sometimes the user has to reboot. CMM operator had a Windows 2000 PC that was quickly failing and was given a new PC running Windows XP Pro. We are having other strange problems, but we can handle those one at a time.
We migrated all his data from the old PC (2k) to the new one(XP). Then reinstalled the software on top of the existing data and installs.
Dell Optiplex GX270
Windows XP SP2 patched
1GB RAM
40 GB HD
Datapage 3.33
PC-DMIS 3.7 MR1 and PC-DMIS 4.3 MR1 (in two different directories)
Nvidia Quadro FX 1000 Graphics card.
I know little about the CMM and software and am confident the operator knows how to use everything correctly.
Any ideas?
