SPC and datapage

I have 2 key dimensions that I need to supply SPC > CPK > and Histograms.
I send these to datapage and after several parts how does one yeild the Histogram and CPK?

Well, are you SURE the data is in Datapage?
If you are using KEYIN dimensions, then you MUST save the data to datapage using DIMENSION LABELS (other option is FEATURE LABELS).

If you are using DIMENSION LABELS, they will show up in the list of available variables. If you used FEATURE ID's, then the data is NOT in Datapage. This is a GOOD reason for putting those KEYIN dimensions in as variables and then making a generic feature. Then no matter WHICH method you use, you will get the data into Datapage.

Once you get the data into Datapage, just select the variable, the transactions and make the reports using BAR & WHISKER CHART. I fear though that the data you want isn't in Datapage.

Thanks Matt for the feedback. This is an ongoing thing and I will have to get back after looking into.

I would prefer the program not to have operator intervention. In other words fully automated without stops. If I am getting this the Dimension Labels would be automated? Can I only send the keys so that datapage only contains them in the variable list? How would I do that if so? I am guessing put the datapage callout at the program end where only the keys would follow?

Di it in the DIMENSION itself, you can select WHERE (OUTPUT) the dimension data goes, BOTH, STATS, or REPORT or NONE.

AND, the process IS automatic using the variables & generic features, once you program it in, it's there and does it all on it's own.

  • Matt,
Hes referring to Key dimensions (KPC) not Keyin dimensions...right Gary?

Roberto > Yes actually the dimensions that the customer wants SPC on happen to be labelled Key1, Key2 on the drawing with a flag around them. Thats why I stated keys. lol ~ It's not key-in.

    Gary,
If this the first time, I suggest you setup your "Options" in datapage first prior to generating any chart.

    Go to Datapage>Options.
  • doh!

Sorry about that. What was I thinking? or was I. Maybe I should have a Corona
