Text Files in datapage

I have a new data logger for temp and humidity and would like to try and Input the data in to Datapage to be bale to utilize the run charts Is this possible ?
  • Sorry the logger can export the data in text file any suggestions greatly appreciated
  • I think the Autoupdate can pull in a lot of different files, look into that. You can manually enter data into Datapage editor (copy paste on a block might work). Otherwise you might make a basic script in PC-DMIS that imports the data into the current running program. Also sometimes the logger software will have it's own charting system, or Excel works fine if you are just trying to get a graph every so often. Also if you have temp comp on your machine, you can submit temps to Datapage using some GETTEXT and GETCOMMAND commands in PC-DMIS if only temps are what you are interested in.

If none of that works, we could also quote a logging interface for you.

Really you've got to figure out what you want specifically to do and figure out what you want to do to implement it.

Thanks for the reply I am just looking @ an easier way to chart them out. We will have to print them out on a weekly basis, everyone wants to see pretty charts on display. I was able to create a new data page file and add two variables one for humidity and temp and the cool part was it did let me tell it the the start time and date then how many times to repeat this entry and how often the setting that the logger is set-up at is it takes data entry every 40 sec, Since Friday there is over 7,000 data points that is going to be adjusted way done probably every 5 minutes will be good. The Logger did come with Software, but I'm not impressed with the run charts and I am familiar with data page set-up and charts. I was able to copy the data out of excel and paste them into the editor so it workedSlight smileSlight smile
