Parallel to USB Dongle Upgrade: Need Auth. Code

We were having problems with our computer. We contacted Hexagon I believe about an upgrade to newer computer. We had the parallel dongle on the old computer. We got a new computer without parallel ports on it. Hexagon sent us a USB dongle. Everything worked fine, except for some minor issues with DataPage, for 45 days. Today when I open up the program I can't load any data in DataPage. It says my license is no longer valid and to put in a code that goes with my dongle serial number. My problem is that I did not recieve a new code with the USB dongle. We are not current on our MSA. Does this mean I'm SOL? I realized how bad of a situation I am in when I couldn't load the database. I just hope I don't have to shell out $8k for the code.

  • I recommended an I/O card but it wasn't up to me. Unfortunately Hexagon requires you to send the parallel dongle back to them once you get the USB one. Yes, the user id did change and the old authentication code will not work because its linked to the specific dongle. I will try to call them tomorrow John. Wish me luck!

    Just be polite and I think they will help you.
