I'm trying to import excel csv files generated from PC-Dmis 2013, having a problem with the tolerances, the upper tolerance and the lower tolerance are both a plus vaule. upper = 0.005 lower = 0.005. SB lower -0.005.
Its causing everything to be out of tolerance in datapage.
I know i can override the tolerances in datapage but it changes all the tolerances not just the ones selected, I have about 580 dimensions and the tolerances are not the same for all.
There must be an easy way around this? I dont want to go through the reports and manually change all lower tolerances to a negitive vaule.
Yea, the easy way around this would be using the datapage stats command in your part program to export stats into datapage and not CSV files.
But if you insist on using the CSV output then in the F5 menu (setup options) there is a checkbox that says "Minus tols show negative". Checking that box should change the sign in the export to show negative (I have not tested this in excel but it does work in the stats/on datapage+ output and the datapagestats.exe command).
Okay, I just ran a quick test in PC-DMIS and checking that box does export a minus tolerance to CSV. This should report a minus tolerance to datapage as well.
Please remember that DP+ is designed around Pcdmis therefore the datapagestats command which writes the .xml file has setting which handles the data correctly, not sure why you would want to export a csv? Csv import is useful to import data from other software including Tesascan, height gauges, manually input etc.
