ASCII DataPage+

Hello All,

Very soon I will be upgrading from DataPage/RT 3.33 to DataPage+....currently use the ASCII Dump/Load feature a lot. Is this option still available in the new version?

Thanks

Yes, DataPage+ version 5.0 SP1 supports importing DMP files. It also supports several other file types to import (ie. CSV, DMO, RTF, CTO, Quindos, etc.).

DataPage+ can export the data in XML format to move to another DataPage+ database, or you can export data in any column/row format (to use in Excel) using the DataPage+ "Customized Excel Output" function (located in the "Text Report" tab).
  • Thanks for the reply.

Does it support exporting as .DMP files also? Currently I have a custom script that grabs the variable text from line 22 (that I've typed in a road map number) along with nominal/tolerance from line 23, actual from 25, etc. Script imports this data into Excel in a format our company likes, been using it since the Unix days. It would save me a ton of time if I could still use my current DMP files with all the variable text in tact and not have to devise another method for thousands of programs.

    Thanks

DataPage+ exports in either XML or MDI format, but not DMP. However, DataPage+ does have a "Customized Excel Report" feature, which allows you to export any/all data to a pre-defined Excel template. This may even cut out a step in your process of needing to import an exported file. Please feel free to call (EST), email, or Skype me to discuss further. I can email you documentation on this feature to get you started.

    Thanks, and best regards,
