Need DataPage+ to store Min/Max from Flatness measurement

PcDmis 2013 MR1, DP+ 2011 MR1.

I have a situation that requires saving the min/max readings along with a flatness measurement in the DP+ database.
The PcDmis report shows the numbers but when I open the DataPage file, all I have is the flatness.
There has never been any reason for me to do any scripting/value assignments in the past so formal training is hard to justify.
(read that as "no, we won't pay for it")
I'm sure it's a simple solution, but I'm getting frustrated looking for a straight forward answer.

Thanks for any help.
  • The min of flatness is 0. The max is your measured value. There is no "min-max" like a surface profile.

To test it out, select your plane with a surface profile, select form only, and tolerance it the same as your flatness callout. The min should be 0, and the max should be the measurement of your flatness. That is how flatness "fits" to the plane.
  • It's not the flatness that has me baffled.
The location of the plane is set to nominal Z-axis thickness from the datum. The parts are deliberately under nominal.
The PcDmis report shows flatness (regardless of location), and a negative number as both min and max (from specified location) but I cant get those values into the DP+ database.

    Sorry if that wasn't clear.
  • Export the MAX and MIN out individually and report them. DP+ doesn't export MAX and MIN from the formatting, at far as I have seen.
  • Flatness does not have a min/max. Even though PC-DMIS shows something when you have min/max checked in Dimension Reporting. It doesn't exist, so nothing is brought into DataPage. Profile always imports into DataPage+ as the measurement, plus the min and max. But flatness never will, it just isn't a thing.

If you want a locational max and min, then you need to look into using variable arrays with min/max logic to pull data from your set of points (or plane if you're using auto-plane).
