The box plot gives a clear overview and is particularly suitable for comparative evaluation of characteristic values. Based on this information, you make statements about quality behaviour and process changes over any period of time. In order to compare characteristics having different value ranges, the program applies the normed display of statistics by default, i.e. the specification limits are set to +1 or -1.
