Just got Q7 software CD/DVD sent to me via mail. We purchased an offline license along with the Q7 that will be going on the Leitz PMM machine soon. The Q7 loaded ok on the non-CMM PC, But I do get some license type errors in the error log when I open Quindos. Also, Xmanager is looking for a product key every time I re-boot the PC. No real instructions came with the CD. I assume the Xmanager is necessary. Any help would be appreciated.

I have had that same problem since we upgraded to Q7 a few years ago. However, Q7 does not require X-Windows to run, and I just hit the "Cancel" button everytime the product key windows shows up. Enjoy Q7, it has a lot of improvements since Q6, especially the printing issues. The license errors are probably because it's looking for the CMM controller to connect to.
The X-manager is required if using certain Quindos options (feature based, graphical statistics). The graphics windows/screens/tools for these were not revised for the new graphics of Quindos7. If you are not using these options, then the X-manager is not needed. If you feel that you really need the X-manager, then contact Hexagon again to request the x-manager license.
