QUINDOS 7 - Not Enough Usable Points Error

Trying to do a gear here. I take my axis sys and go to do a manual tooth gap. As soon as I execute after the tooth gap I get an error of "Not Enough Usable Points" Anyone know the definition of this.

It's suprising that there is no list of error messages as to their meaning and solution. There certainly seems to be enough errors that mysteriously pop up day after day, some in German too!

  • Correction on the error. "Not Enough or Unusable Points"

Correction on the error. It reads "Not Enough or Unusable Points"
  • the error can not be any more clear because the underlying cause can be many different things. If you are certain that you took 2 prb points within a gap or about a tooth (I recommend having CLP pts also), which would eliminate 'the note enough pts' portion of the error, then that leaves the 'unusable' portion of the error. I suspect that the points are 'unusable' because one or more of the gear inputs (Normal Module, NDP, Pressure Angle, #teeth, ....) is not correct.

I recommend double checking the gear info. If you still have issues contact me.

  • the 'not enough or unusable points' error message, when using the GEAR command will come up if the probes that are entered do not actually exist. Check the EDB to see if the probes actually exist.
