Key highlights of Actran 2025.1 include:
1. ePowertrain Noise WorkflowManager
2. Bearing loads support and more improvements in the EM Noise WorkflowManager
3. WorkflowManager contextual documentation
4. Automatic SEA subsystems creation in Actran VI
5. 3D to 1D trim conversion tool: Increased robustness
Many more new features
- Nastran-Actran space workflow improvements: Actran 2025.1 supports global frequency-dependent damping with the SDAMPING card and an additional T2WL field in the PAC card (see Nastran documentation for a complete description of the card), allowing users to specify the thickness of the exterior acoustic component relative to the acoustic wavelength. Results can be saved only on a selection of nodes, and RMS results can be output and debugged more easily thanks to f04, f06 and log files of every step of the computation.
- Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) in PLTViewer and WaterfallViewer: The frequency content of time signals can be easily extracted in PLTViewer and WaterfallViewer by right-clicking on the quantity and selecting "Compute DFT". Thanks to the FFT algorithm, this operation is very quick, even for large inputs.
- Importing configuration files: Import default GUI settings (configuration files) from previous releases to avoid having to re-specify them each time you install a new version of Actran.
- Visualisation of normal fields with vectors: Scalar fields (such as normal velocities) can now be visualised as normal vectors on 2D surfaces.
- ARM processors: Actran 2025.1 is available on ARM processors.
