Looking into the full car kinematic and compliance analysis (SPMM analysis) and had a question.
It looks that the testrig for this analysis (__MDI_SPMM_TESTRIG) is meant to work with suspension hardpoints located where Z=0 is ground. Doesn't seem to adjust its pad vertical placement relative to the wheel center height minus the tire radius. Is this true?
My suspension hard points are not placed where ground = 0 and so when I build this assembly the testrig pads do not coincide with the bottom of the tires.
Do I have to translate my hardpoints vertically to get this to align, or is there a way to get the testrig to account for this?
No, that should not be the case. Most likely you are missing an output communicator for the wheel center that should be picked up by the testrig and be used to positioning the ground.
Look closely on the list of unmatched communicators when you open the assembly.
