I was trying to do a cosimulation in Simulink. I have created a FE-Element object in ADAMS but I get an error message while simulating in Simulink. It says the generated S-Function has an error. I did the same as with other cosimulations that are working.
Is it possible that Cosimulation is not supported for FE-Elements?
You are correct: the new FE_PART does not work with co-simulation. I recall seeing this documented somewhere, but I note the FE_PART docs in the Solver guide don't list this. I will log a defect report to get our documentation fixed AND to ask that it at least work in discrete co-sim mode.
I assume that you are in discrete co-sim, right? I discussed with my colleague in Product Development and he indicated that we could likely enhance it for the future to work in discrete co-sim, but 'function evaluation' mode would be a lot trickier to implement. I believe that most people do NOT use function evaluation mode with Adams/Controls, so I think that that idea is ok. I'm wondering about your comment on this..
