FE Element Cosimulation with Simulink

Hello everyone,

I was trying to do a cosimulation in Simulink. I have created a FE-Element object in ADAMS but I get an error message while simulating in Simulink. It says the generated S-Function has an error. I did the same as with other cosimulations that are working.

Is it possible that Cosimulation is not supported for FE-Elements?

Yes or No answer is already helpful!

Thanks

  • Hello Kent,

yes you are right I am trying to simulate a cantilever beam in a discrete mode cosimulation. I made an experiment and now I want to model the beam and a force (that is why I use Matlab) but unfortunately the beam I am trying to simulate is pretty long. Thus it is not possible to model it trough DISCRETE FLEXIBLE LINK with an accuracy that is good enough for me, (I only use the student version and there is a limit on 20 parts). So it would be nice if there is a possibility to get the cosimulation with the FE_PART working.

    Thanks
    Alex
