All of the references I have found so far are out of date. I am referring to the abaqus subroutine for MSC.ADAMS that uses the form above. Currently .mnf files are being created, but they do not output stresses when used in ADAMS.

I am not familiar with ABAQUS commands for requesting stress modes. However, I suppose it should be similar to the process in Nastran, which I briefly explain here:
You first need to ask for stresses and gridpoint stresses to be calculated. Since it is a normal modes analysis, ABAQUS should calculate the stress modes for you and the corresponding nodal stresses for each mode. Next you will need to output these calculated stress modes and their corresponding nodal stresses for both 2D and 3D solids to the MNF file in an output type command.
