ADAMS -Simulink Cosimulation causing simulink to crash/close

I'm trying to complete the antenna tutorial in the getting started controls. When I run the simulink simulation of the ADAMS antenna, its causing my simulink to crash and produces an adamsctl.bat file, and an ctlsctl.bat file instead of the results .res file. How do I stop simulink from crashing?

No, ADAMS does not create those bat-files instead of the res-file. They are always created. They are what will start the ADAMS run.

Did you get an ADAMS message file (.msg)? That might give some hint about what is going wrong.

No .msg file, or error messages of any kind. Whether I try the antenna tutorial or my own super simple simulation, the simulation runs to "Evaluating Block Parameters: Started" and then crashes. I have successfully run 1 simulation, but since then I can't get it not to crash even if I run the same simulation

Obvious question: You are using a Matlab/Simulink version that works with your ADAMS version?

Where can I find version compatability?

im using adams 2020, i tried matlab/simulink 2019a and 2018b

They are listed in the release guide. If you go to the installation directory there is a Readme.rtf file that has the link to this document.

But long story short, this ADAMS 2020 FP1 should be compatible with 2018b, 2019a.

I believe I've solved the problem, in that its worked twice in a row.

solution: Make sure you've got lots of free memory in your primary drive

I only had 7gb free, I now have 30 gb and it seems to be working
