Unable to deactivate a specific part in Adams Car

This is a follow up to the earlier question. I am trying to deactivate a specific part in a template. It is the driveshaft part in the "double wishbone.tpl" in the acar_shared database. I can deactivate every other part but the driveshaft and tripot. Also tried it from commanf navigator. It makes the icon of the part transparent but when I click on the info tab it still shows up as Active = ON. What can be done here?

Hi Anuj,

The driveshaft part in this template is part of a group called driveline_active . This is why you cannot deactivate this part directly from tree view in this template.

The activity of this group is toggled using a parameter variable at the subsystem level. So if you open the subsystem called Tr_front_suspension which uses this double_wishbone template you can browse for a variable called as phs_driveline_active. Set this variable to 1 or 0 to activate or deactivate the driveshaft part.

If you want to deactivate/activate directly from treeview at template level you can delete the driveline_active group and then you can deactivate/active the driveshaft part just like other part.
