Solidworks/Motion to Adams/View Error

Dear All, I use SW/Motion export to Adams/View. Sometimes it works fine but sometimes.

After export I run the model without any error before apply motions.

But Later, i apply some motions to translational joints.. Parts go another position and start from there.. I checked initial positions of joints but there is no ic . I have to delete all joints come from SW and create again. It is easy on simple models but it is impossible on comples models..

Any idea about it? Thank you
  • Hello,

I'd be great if you could update your profile with your full name.

I am not quite sure why this happens but I suppose the i- and j-markers are not coincident in the design state. I recommend checking the i- and j-markers of all joints and see why they are not coincident. You may need to go back to SW and check them there too.

You should also looking into version compatibility. In Adams Online Help, navigate to the following location and check what version of SLDPRT and SLDASM are supported by your Adams version:

Adams Basic Package > Adams View > Adams View > Exchanging Data in Adams > Supported File Formats for Import and/or Export

and scroll down to the last table.
