Saving Temporal results using Adams/Insight

Hi All,

I would like to know if there is a way to save the ".res" and ".gra" files for each run in a Doe within Adams/Insight. I know that in a normal operation it does not save the time series plots for each run but I need to retrieve the time span for all the cases and not for just the last one.

Hi Andrea,

Prior to going to Insight, you could set the Output setting to ensure the analysis files will get written to disk. In this way, you can import these analysis files into your Adams View session and access all the results sets.

Settings -> Solver -> Output

There used to be options in A/Insight to only build the files, i.e. it would write out all adm and acf files and allow the user to run the solutions from a command line, many solutions at the same time or even on different computers. That would generate all the solver files. Insight would then go out and collect all the responses and finish building the experiment file.

Unfortunately this feature seems to be broken in the latest version of Adams.

If you are interested in working with full time histories instead of only scalars for your DOE, I would recommend that you look into Odyssee, a new tool in the Hexagon portfolio. It can replicate a full time domain signal for any factor/parameter combination after that you run the DOE. There should be an Adams portal available shortly. If you are licensing through MSC/One you can run Odyssee already today.
