Input of the CAD Inertia Off Diagonal Terms

Hello,

when the input inertia off diagonal terms (IXY, IZX and IYZ) from Catia in ADAMS/Car as part characteristics (General Part -> Modify and activate the “Off-Diagonal Terms) , then you have to multiply the Catia inertia off diagonal terms values with -1 before entering in the ADAMS.

Does anybody has experience with the input of the values inertia off- diagonal terms values from Pro/Engineer or ANSA in the Modify General Part Dialog Box?

Hello Ondrej,

Does the following KB article help at all? It discusses confusion with NASTRAN values, however, may clarify how Adams Solver uses the inertia values:
