ADAMS/Solver stops with no error statement in .msg file.

Hi All,

I am running an ADAMS/View model which contains elements from ADAMS/Machinery and Gear/AT.

The model will stop solving after about an hour and a half with no error message or any additional lines written to the .msg file (verbose output option not selected).

Has anyone ever encountered this? Not sure why it stops solving and drops the licenses. When it's a solver error an error message is written to the .msg file. It doesn't even write "end simulation" to the .msg file.

Hello Joe,

how many threads do you use for solver execution? In case you use more than 1, would you try to

set 1 thread and come back with the outcome, please?

Hi Jan,

I am using a thread count of 1. Our IT department says it does not look like there is a license interruption causing this.

thanks for your feedback.

Could you please report the issue to your local Adams support representative so we can investigate it? We would need to get all solver model files (ACF, ADM, MTX) as well as gears related files (CGP, CGS) to reproduce the issue.
