Keyboard shortcut for Show/Hide and Activate/Deactivate

Hey there,

does anyone know if there are keyboard shortcuts for hiding and showing selected objects in Adams View? I could not find anything in the online help. Also shortcuts for activate/deactivate would be nice.

Hello Tobias,

You can easily define keyboard shortcuts and mnemonics in the menu.

You can dump the existing menu (Tools>>Menu), then modify it as per your requirement like here and add keyboard shortcut:

You can then reload this menu to your Adams session and then shortcuts should then work.

Hey Rishi,

thanks for your answer! Setting shortcuts for Deactivate and Activate works fine!

Any idea how to toggle between Hide and Show shown in the figure below in the context menu?

If I change "BUTTON2 &Appearance...::Ctrl+l" the "Edit Appearance" menu is opening.

Ideally toggling between hide and show is on the spacebar. It seems like it is not possible to set an accelerator to spacebar, is it?

Hello Tobias

You can easily add shortcut for HIDE (or SHOW) like this:

Then use this shortcut to hide/show your models. For show the command would be slightly different i.e. just need to set the "..visibility =on" in above menu command under a separate button.

Sorry I missed last part of you question. I guess you cannot set the accelerator to spacebar. It seems only- ctrl, shift, alt work or alternatively the function keys (F1,F2..).
