I would like to use a Space Mouse ( 3D connexion), but the speed to move and rotate my model is too fast. I tried changing the settings in the app of the space mouse, but it doesn't reduce the speed in adams view. It only reduces the speed for other software e.g. catia.
I have an old wired Space Mouse which works well and is calibrated via 3D connexion tools. Occasionaly when I open an ADAMS model and plug the mouse in, the ADAMS model starts moving or zooming out. Ssolution is to unplug/plug again the Space Mouse. What model are you using?
In parallel to this you may want to raise this topick with 3D Conexion. I've seen cases where some axis work better than others and require some further tunning from 3D Connexion
I am a longtime user of 3DConnexion devices and I am also currently using the SpaceMouse Pro Wireless. About the only thing you can do in Adams that can affect the speed of moving/zooming with a Space Mouse is something you should do anyway - make sure your units and grid settings are adjusted appropriately. The sensitivity of the mouse itself must be set in the 3DConnexion software.
The Pro Wireless seems to be much more sensitive than any of my previous devices. I am far less delighted with it than any I have used in the past. That said, I have been able to adjust the settings using a bit of trial and error. It's annoying, but it can be done.
