I'm confused - have the old threads been closed off completely?

So I wanted to respond to an ongoing Adams 2017.2 Beta issue, and clicked on the email link.  Taking me to the "new and improved" and "highly interactive" Community page here.

And I'm not quite sure if old discussion threads have been closed off completely?  Or can I still comment on them somehow?

  • That's what it seemed like to me.  I would have preferred a transition period, where no new posts could be created in the old Forums but existing posts could be "finished up".

Or maybe any "active" posts that had been created or responded to in "the last month" or whatever, could automatically be transitioned to the new Community.  With a final comment added to the Forum thread indicating that further comments would be continued on the Community pages.

Specific to Adams 2017.2 Beta, it just feels like MSC has closed off all Beta commenting, since I can't comment on existing Beta threads, and I don't see an equivalent "Beta Forum" type environment (posting on the general community wouldn't be right).

I'm not that invested in Beta testing, so if it's not quick-and-easy to comment, I'm not likely to spend time trying to figure it out.
