You can tailor how much information you receive from these forums via email. Click on your User Profile name in the upper-right corner and select 'My Settings'. Here is what you should see for email notifications:
I don't want an email for each new posting, I got enough junk coming in that way already. What I want is an overview of unread posts. Without that capability, there will be a lot of posts I miss where I might have been able to contribute. I'm afraid this will be a major reason for declined activity with the new format.
@Ken Walker If you "Follow" a topic (or subtopic) and don't change your default notification such that it stays set to Never, you will not receive Email but it will show up in your Feed on the home page.
@Jesper Slattengren Regarding the lack of an Email digest option, I completely agree with you Jesper in that this is most-certainly ideal. This capability does not yet exist with this platform, but we have submitted the enhancement request and hopefully this will exist in the near future. We're certainly pushing hard for this!
