Can we model a contact force between two body out that one body has zero mass?
We have already considered the mass of that body in other simulation and already we have the force curve based on that…Hence we are planning to model it as zero mass in our MBD model.
But this body comes into contact between the adjacent body while its travel.
So the question is can we define contact on this zero mass body?
You should never have parts with zero mass in Adams, unless you use them as dummy parts - fully constrained to another part (with a fixed joint). Forces acting on the dummy part should work - but you still need the constraint.
