I am using Adams Machinery to model helical gears with 3D contact method, I am getting noise in the results when I compute forces at gear joints (revolute). Is there any way to avoid these noise in the result without application of filters.

  • Hello MSC Team,

I am modelling below gears with simplified contact (spur gears). I want to make gear 2 as floating gear (no bearing ). I am facing problem modelling it as floating one. I tried using bushing constraint for gear 2 (restricting axial translation and all rotation). I tried with different coupling directions bit did not work. (It works in detailed contact method with no loads on gear 2 bushing as expected).

Is there any way to work with simplified contact method.
