The Masterkey and MSCOne licenses differ primarily in how they handle token allocation for software features:

• Masterkey License: This license type requires separate tokens for each feature. For example, when running a Nastran SOL 153 analysis, Masterkey checks out 250 tokens for Nastran and an additional 70 tokens for NA_Thermal¹. This means that each feature requires its own set of tokens, which can lead to issues if the required tokens are not available.

• MSCOne License: In contrast, MSCOne integrates certain features into the basic Nastran feature, which reduces the number of tokens needed. For instance, in the same Nastran SOL 153 analysis, MSCOne only checks out 13 tokens for Nastran because the NA_Thermal feature is already integrated into the Nastran feature in MSCOne¹. This integration allows for more efficient use of tokens, as fewer are needed for the same operations.

I honestly think it is ridiculous that it is so difficult to get the token tables for the products we have already bought.

I have contacted sales but they are slow to respond and apparently they can be pushy to make us convert our licenses which is even more frustrating as we don't have the token tables to give it proper consideration.

Might be time for us to move to Simscape multibody instead.
