need to run a simulation in MSC Adams with many small time steps but minimal data output
You can accomplish this by setting Hmax (Settings - Solver - Dynamics) to a small value, and the output time step to a larger value.
As an example: Hmax=1e-4, output time step = 0.05. This would force the solver to take steps not larger than 1e-4 sec, and the output will be generated at every 0.05 sec.

Thank you very much, the issue has been resolved. How can I view the real-time progress of the script execution?
I would say the best option to get full insight in what the solver is doing is by running it externally at the command prompt. For this you need to export the model as an adm-file, and create an acf-file with the solver commands. Then run the simulation with the command "adams2024_2 ru-st filename.acf", if it is an Adams View model.
